According to DOH, thyroid cancer is the most common cancer of women at age 15-24. It ranks 7th overall, 4th in females and 17th in males.
Worldwide, September is Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month. This observance “promotes thyroid cancer awareness for early detection, care based on expert standards, and increased research to achieve cures for all thyroid cancer,” according to its initiating organization, Thyroid Cancer Survivors’ Association.
